Manchester Redemption Center started operations in 1988 with three partners and by the beginning of 2000 had grown to keep the environment clean.

Manchester Redemption Center LLC is a committed and long-standing member of the community. Our operations have centered in Manchester since the company was founded nearly twenty two years ago and we continue to work with the community. We maintain an active partnership with the Fire Departments, Churches, Boys and Girl Scouts, and Neighboring Public Schools. If you have large quantities, we pick up the empties on Saturday as schedule from your place or you can bring your bottles and cans for redemption. Please feel free to contact us at (860)-645-1887.

Recycling is at the very core of the scrap metal industry. Waste material from aluminum beverage cans and glass bottles to plastic bottles are processed and sold off to customers as raw materials for new products.

During the development of our new facility, we had the ability to engineer an environmentally friendly facility with the capacity to handle all empties. Our entire recycling operation is located both inside and outside the building which allows us to operate effectively in all weather conditions.

The recycling of aluminum, plastic and glass provides many environmental benefits from reducing the strain on landfills and lightening the demand on the world's ore mines to saving energy and reducing air pollution. In fact, recycling one ton of aluminum saves the equivalent in energy of 2,350 gallons of gasoline. This is equivalent to the amount of electricity used by the typical home over a period of 10 years. Producing a soda can from recycled aluminum uses 96% less energy than manufacturing a can from ore and produces 95% less air pollution and 97% less water pollution.

Manchester Redemption Center is proud to be a part of the vibrant and diverse community of Manchester and dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact.
